This is a one half sheet, 300 lb cold press original, private collection-artist. Inspired by the Gorge in Hunterdon County, NJ, this tributary of the Raritan River was home to big blue heron, kingfishers, trout and a treasure trove of fauna and flora. It is an inspired composite of all of the Nature walks that refreshed my soul during the 8 years of caregiving for my dear mom-in-law, Irene...my once best friend...who I watched thru the 27 hospitalizations in that timeframe...as she slipped away into greater dementia and would return home with ever greater challenges of physical ailments. The alternately soft murmurs of the pools and rush of crashing Flow upon the many river rocks would fill my senses with a healing symphony of prayerful surrender to the inevitable. It was one of her favorite pieces that she would sit and watch me paint now and again as I explored endless details within the Light! She is just beyond the bend...now, in the Light.
It is my personal collection.
